In 2017, we set out on a mission to empower Africa’s next generation of leaders, and the MINDS Scholarship Program was born. Our goal? To inspire young minds across the continent to think beyond borders and foster a spirit of unity and collaboration among African nations.

Are You Eligible?

If you’re dreaming of this opportunity, here’s what you need to qualify for the 2024 MINDS Scholarship:

  • You must be a citizen of an African country, currently living in Africa.
  • You need to have been accepted by one (or more) of our preferred universities outside your home country.
  • You should be ready to start your postgraduate studies in the upcoming academic year.
  • Your academic performance matters – you’ll need at least 70% in each subject or course from your last two years of study.
  • Leadership is key. We want to see your potential to lead, so be prepared to showcase that in your application.
  • Submit a complete online application, along with the necessary documents.

What’s in It for You?

Depending on the type of scholarship awarded (partial or full), the 2024 MINDS Scholarship could cover:

  • Tuition fees
  • Accommodation and meals
  • One return flight for the duration of your studies
  • A fixed stipend to support your living expenses

What You’ll Need to Apply

Before you dive into the application, make sure you have the following:

  • A copy of your passport’s data/bio page.
  • A certified academic transcript or results slip from the last two years.
  • An official acceptance letter from the university, clearly stating your degree program, start date, and course duration.
  • (Optional) A valid study permit or visa, or proof of application.
  • A detailed CV/Resume (no more than 4 pages).
  • Two reference letters (up to 3 pages each) that highlight your integrity, leadership potential, and commitment to Africa’s development.
