Youth Programme to Attend COP29 as a Funded Delegate

The Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) is thrilled to invite passionate young individuals to apply for the CMP Youth Programme, a unique opportunity to participate in COP29 as a CMP Youth Delegate.

This initiative is supported by the Africa Climate Mobility Initiative, the Rising Nations Initiative, and the Greater Caribbean Climate Mobility Initiative.

Why You Should Apply:

The CMP Youth Programme is about bringing together a group of motivated young people who care deeply about climate action, especially in regions most vulnerable to climate change.

As a delegate, you’ll receive valuable training, have the chance to speak on global stages, and meet directly with key policymakers, leaders in philanthropy, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

What You’ll Gain:

We’re selecting up to 30 incredible young leaders for this program. We’re committed to ensuring that our group of delegates reflects gender equality and includes voices from diverse backgrounds, especially those directly impacted by climate change and mobility challenges.

Your Costs Covered:

If you’re selected, we’ll cover your return travel (economy-class) and accommodation during COP29—so you can focus on making a difference.

Who Can Apply:

• Age: You should be between 18-30 years old as of the application deadline.
• Region: We’re looking for applicants from Africa, the Pacific, Asia, or Latin America & the Caribbean to join as Climate Mobility Youth Delegates. If you’re from Kiribati, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or Tuvalu, you could be selected as a Rising Nations Youth Delegate.
• Encouragement: We strongly encourage migrant and displaced youth living in or originally from these regions to apply.
