Fellowship Overview
For our 2025 Fellowship, we’re excited to support five reporting fellows who will dive deep into research and write about key issues surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) policy, governance, and regulation. Potential topics you could explore include:
- AI and data privacy
- AI bias and discrimination
- AI and disinformation/misinformation
- AI and intellectual property
- AI and the future of work
- AI and national security
- AI and competition

What You’ll Get
As a selected fellow, you’ll receive a $10,000 stipend to support your work over the course of the fellowship.
What We’re Looking For
To be a great fit for this fellowship, you should:
- Be passionate about producing insightful analysis and reporting on the intersection of tech and democracy
- Commit to the highest ethical standards in your work
- Be able to juggle research, writing, and other fellowship activities
- Be open to learning and growing through opportunities provided by Tech Policy Press
- Build a strong network of expert contacts in your area of focus
- Attend our monthly cohort meetings (first Monday of every month at 11 a.m. ET)
- Share a brief progress update before each meeting
- Schedule one-on-one check-ins with us at least once a month
