FFOP Youth Interfaith Leaders Climate Change Fellowship 2025
Applications are now open for the Faith for Our Planet Youth Interfaith Leaders Fellowship on Climate Change 2025.
This fully funded, week-long residential program at Duke University is a fantastic opportunity for young climate leaders inspired by their faith.
This fellowship offers a unique chance to connect with a vibrant community of faith-driven climate advocates.
What You’ll Experience:
Throughout the program, you’ll dive into a dynamic curriculum led by experts in religious studies, climate change, interfaith relations, media, and community work. Here’s what you’ll gain:
- Faith and Climate Action: Learn how your faith values can influence your approach to climate leadership and community action, integrating concepts of leadership, justice, and community into your projects.
- Community Engagement: Understand the nuances of working in diverse, multi-faith, and multicultural settings, and develop strategies that resonate with various community dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Build your ability to communicate effectively, becoming a more articulate and empathetic leader who can shape public discourse, guide community opinions, and engage with decision-makers.
- Inclusive Leadership: Embrace cultural and religious diversity, strengthening inclusivity and equity in your climate initiatives.
- Action Projects: Start faith-based climate awareness campaigns and community-driven projects that make a real difference.

After the Program:
As a fellow, you’ll join the FFOP Fellowship Alumni Association, with ongoing opportunities to participate in regional events and contribute to climate and interfaith campaigns.
What’s Covered:
FFOP will take care of your air travel, visa fees, accommodation, and food. Note that any additional expenses will be your responsibility.
Who Can Apply:
- Ages 20 to 35
- Relevant experience in education, volunteering, or work related to the fellowship themes (environment, religion, community leadership, etc.)
- Access to or willingness to build local networks (social, professional, religious, etc.)
- Proficiency in English

What’s Expected:
We’re looking for proactive leaders ready to:
- Commit to the full duration of the fellowship, including any necessary pre- or post-program sessions
- Develop and implement a faith-based climate action project
- Be eager to learn, expand your network, and make the most of the fellowship experience
- Show a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and interfaith cooperation
- Engage actively with the FFOP Youth Alumni Association and its events
