Paid Digital Content Internship 2024
The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) Digital Content Internship 2024 is now accepting applications.
You will help GCA further its position as the broker of worldwide adaption solutions on a variety of digital channels as a Digital Content Intern.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in several theme areas and the External Affairs team, reporting to the Senior Communications Officer.
An worldwide group called the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is striving to quicken the pace of climate change adaptation.
They collaborate with the public and business sectors to provide support for adaption solutions at both the local and global levels.
Their focus is firmly on those who are most vulnerable to the effects of climate change; communities least prepared to withstand the health, social, and economic impacts of the climate emergency are their priority.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Assist in developing, scheduling, and posting content on GCA’s social media accounts. Use tools like Falcon for social media management and analytics to track performance.
- Content Collaboration: Collaborate with program teams to create engaging content promoting GCA’s work and adaptation solutions. Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.

- Internal Communications: Support internal communications by contributing to GCA’s weekly newsletter, coordinating with colleagues, and using Mailchimp to design and distribute.
- Website Content: Help update and post content on the GCA website.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide flexible support to the team on additional tasks as needed.
Salary
- Intern will receive a salary of 500 EUR monthly.
Eligibility
- Applicant should be currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and a willingness to learn more.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in diverse, intercultural environments.
- The candidate must reside in the Netherlands and be authorized to work there.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an online animation software (e.g., Powtoon) is a plus.
- Familiarity with web content management systems is an advantage.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
