Paris Peace Forum Call for AI Projects 2024
As we prepare for the AI Action Summit happening in Paris on February 10-11, 2025, the Paris Peace Forum is excited to announce a Call for Projects that focuses on harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to address some of the world’s biggest challenges.
AI is rapidly changing the way we live, work, and interact. While it brings incredible opportunities, it also raises new issues that could create divisions in our society.
To ensure these technologies uplift everyone, the Call for AI Projects is looking for global initiatives that improve lives while ethically framing AI. Selected projects will be showcased at the AI Action Summit, giving them a global platform to share their solutions—especially those that engage with civil society and the Global South.
This initiative is part of the Paris Peace Forum’s larger mission of supporting innovative global governance. Since 2018, they’ve helped present over 500 projects aimed at improving our world.
Focus Areas
We’re calling for projects that fall into these five key areas:
- Trust in Democracy, Information, Security, and Safety
- Tackling misinformation
- Making public information more accessible
- Promoting digital inclusion and accessibility
- Ensuring safety, transparency, and accountability in AI use
- AI and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Environmental sustainability
- Using AI for climate action
- Enhancing agriculture and food systems
- Addressing nutrition challenges
- Supporting global health and scientific collaboration
- Boosting education
- Promoting gender equality
- Work and Well-being
- Creating AI that’s inclusive and equitable
- Sharing the productivity gains from AI advancements
- Protecting the rights and interests of AI workers
- Governance, Ethics, Responsibility, and Crisis Response
- Global AI governance
- Ethical AI, including algorithm transparency and oversight
- AI for early warning systems and disaster management
- Supporting humanitarian efforts and conflict prevention
- Culture
- Empowering creativity through AI tools
- Protecting copyright in the digital age

Who Can Apply?
- Applications are open to organizations (not individuals) that align with the Summit’s key themes.
- Your project should have moved beyond the concept stage—it needs to be at least in the pilot phase with clear, measurable outcomes.
- While pure academic research isn’t eligible, the Summit will feature a broader range of contributions from academia, the private sector, and civil society.
