SG Holdings Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students 2024
The SG Holdings Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is here to make a difference by financially supporting Nigerian students across all tertiary institutions.
This scholarship offers N150,000 per year to help selected students cover their study costs and ease the financial burden of education.

About the SG Holdings Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship
The SG Holdings Foundation is passionate about giving back to the Ijemo community in Abeokuta, Ogun State. This scholarship is designed to support students attending public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.
Applications are open every year during the third quarter (July to September).

Who Can Apply?
To be considered for the SG Holdings Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, you need to meet the following criteria:
- You must be a native of Ijemo in Abeokuta, Ogun State, or have lived there for at least 15 years.
- You should be a student at a public university, polytechnic, or college of education.
- For Freshers: You must have gained admission through JAMB and paid your acceptance fee.
- For Returning Students: If you’re applying from 200 level onward, you’ll need to provide your CGPA, signed and certified by your Dean or Head of Department.
- Your CGPA should be at least Second Class Lower (for university students), Lower Credit (for polytechnic students), or Credit (for college of education students).
What You’ll Get
Here’s what you’ll receive if you’re selected for the 2025 scholarship:
- University Students: N150,000 per year
- Polytechnic Students: N125,000 per year
- College of Education Students: N100,000 per year

What You Need to Apply
To apply, you’ll need to submit the following documents:
- A one-page personal statement that tells us about your academic background, why you’re applying, and how you plan to give back to your community after graduation.
- Local Government Certificate of Origin.
- Proof of CGPA from your school portal, signed and stamped by your Dean or HOD.
- JAMB/Institution Admission Letter.
- Completed application and attestation letters
- Your Student ID card.
- Proof of payment of your school admission acceptance fee (for freshers).

OPTION 1: Send your application via email to SGHF@sgholdingslimited.com
with the subject line “Application for 2024.” Be sure to attach all the required documents.
OPTION 2: If you prefer, you can deliver your documents in person to the SG Holdings Foundation Secretariat at 59 Olorunsogo Road, Oke Lantoro Roundabout, Abeokuta (Beside Al Hilaal Hospital).
Important Things to Note
- The Scholarship Board will verify all documents.
- You’ll need an attestation letter from a respected Ijemo chief, confirming your Ijemo origin and good character (You can download the attestation letter template here).
- The attestation letter should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, SG Holdings Foundation Scholarship Board, and either emailed or delivered in person to the SG Holdings Foundation Secretariat.
Remember, your application won’t be considered complete until all the required documents are submitted. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a physical interview and screening process.
