Dart Documentary Film Fellowship 2024 for senior and mid-career documentary filmmakers
The Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship is a weeklong immersive program designed for senior and mid-career documentary filmmakers who want to deepen their understanding of emotional trauma and psychological injury, explore the ethical and craft challenges of documentary filmmaking, and enhance their professional engagement with issues of violence, conflict, and tragedy.
The fellowship will take place from February 9-15, 2025.
Eligibility
This fellowship is open to professional documentary filmmakers worldwide. It will be held in Orlando, Florida, and will bring together 12 filmmakers alongside leading experts in trauma science and documentary innovation.
The fellowship offers a unique space for filmmakers to exchange ideas, share experiences, and tackle the challenges of working in this field.

Benefits
The Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship covers:
- Round-trip travel
- Seven nights of lodging
- Meals and other participation-related expenses, such as ground transportation in Florida
However, the program does not cover health or travel insurance, visa costs, additional lodging beyond the program dates, or transportation within participants’ home cities.
